Valentine rant 2020

Well.. a year has passed by, and I have to say that stuff happened, A LOT of stuff happened, let’s briefly resume it here.

First and foremost, I got my bachelor degree, yayy! I graduated with honors in Computing Science last July, and I’m now studying for my master’s. I decided to switch from the Science, Physics and Mathematics Department to the Science and Engineering one. This is mainly due to the flexibility of the latest over the former, I’m able to choose 75% of my exams, being thus able to flavour it the way I prefer.

Secondly, I’m improving my overall skills working, being in an environment where experienced people who can teach you how to do things is amazing and really has its own, unique, value.

Then, I learnt a lot about penetration testing, I started playing some competitions and have had a lot of fun with them. Additionally, I found a group of fellow nerds which I love playing CTF with, and that by itself is worth a whole dime!

Additionally, I had some experience love wise, that led to disaster, but in the end it’s all experience that will go under my belt. It was inevitable to suffer, and I knew it, but somehow I grew up in the disillusion that everything would eventually work out and that someway I would not get hurt. In the end it did not come around that way.

Was it painful? Yes.
Am I completely over it yet? Nope.
Was it worth? Abso-fucking-lutely yes!

I have to admit that I feel stronger than ever, and that’s probably due to my young age. There is still a lot of stuff I’m missing on, love excluded. Right now my biggest desire is to leave my footprint on this planet. I want to do something that helps people out, without ever underestimating relationships’ value.

In general, I hope to contribute to a world where we value skills and
relationships over careers and money, where we know better than to trust cops or
politicians, and where we're passionate about building and creating things in a
self-motivated and self-directed way. - Moxie Marlinspike
